THE PEOPLE WHO KEEP US GOING IN CIRCLES
When the boys are out on the track and racing full tilt, they depend on the karts they are racing to be in good repair and ready to capture the coveted checkered flag. Every race is important, and so is every nut, bolt, and cotter pin that hold the championship karts together. This page salutes those who work in the pits at the tracks and keeps the karts running smoothly, tuned, tweaked, and true. Without a good pit crew, any type of vehicular racing as a competitive sport would be almost impossible.
"Grandpa" Bill ~ Crew Chief
Bill Bishop is the pit crew's chief mechanic and organizes most of the kart racing activities. Bill has been involved with the boys (they are both his grandsons) and their racing since the very beginning. His vast knowledge of 2 and 4 stroke engines and his overall mechanical abilities make him a valuable resource to the Bishop Racing Team, not to mention a rich fountain of useful information and education to the drivers and the rest of the pit crew. Bill is a co-owner of B&B Cycle, a huge motorcycle salvage and repair shop, and is also a sponsor of the racing team. With his experience in racing, and his excellent mechanical skills, Bill is quite a valuable asset, and the backbone of the racing team. THANK YOU, MR. BILL!

Bob Crider ~ Rookie
I'm Bob Crider, the webmaster for this site. I am also a team sponsor, and one-season veteran as a member of the Bishop Racing Team's pit crew. I've always had a fascination with go-karts in general, and am a big fan of racing. So, when I met the Bishop brothers and saw them working on their karts in the alley behind the bike shop, I couldn't resist being nosy and getting involved. The next thing I knew, I was going to the tracks and working in the pits. It's great fun to be there at trackside, watching these boys race, and knowing that what I've done is helping them stay competetive and bring home more trophies and smiles. Being a web designer, I spend too much time sitting in front of a computer, so it is great to have something like kart racing to keep me active!
