THE KARTS WE RACE

We are kicking things up a few notches in the classes we're running in, as well as the karts we are going to be driving. After about a year and a half of racing in the Junior Gold Plate class, Brandon has decided to move forward with a two-stroke engine strapped to a kart known as "The Beast", while Christopher has decided to race our newest addition to the kart fleet, the WildKart, an Italian chassis with a Vortex engine.

We still aren't decided on what to do with the karts we've been running this year (2005 season), but we really don't want to park the champion 2x kart just yet. The picture in the top right hand corner of this page is the infamous 2X cart that took home over a dozen trophies in 2004 with Brandon Bishop at the wheel, and has taken home three first place trophies in the Junior Gold class so far this year. Brandon has decided that we will keep it intact and said he might want to run it in the Senior Open class against the faster and unrestricted karts at the track.

UPDATE - 8/16/05 ~ THE #2 KART (formerly 2x) RIDES AGAIN!!!
With only two races left at Mansfield in the 2005 racing season, we decided to put an end to the short-lived career of "The Beast" as a roundy-round kart. It wore both the driver and the pit crew out trying to get it dialed in to the oval track, so we've pulled the #2x kart back out of the garage, removed the "x" from the number plates, and completely re-vamped it. We took the 2-stroke motor from The Beast and set the new and improved #2 kart up with it. We worked very hard to get this kart set up and ready to race, so we are really looking forward to hitting the track with it. Be sure to read our Race Results page for Wednesday, August 17th, 2005 for details on how things turned out!

These Were Our Karts In The 2004 Kart Racing Season

Brandon drove car number 2 (which later became 2x), and Christopher drove number 89

These carts might not look like much to the naked eye, but put them on the track with either of these Bishop boys behind the wheel and things suddenly look a whole lot different. These two racing karts took home 19 trophies between them in 2004 alone, with 14 of them claimed by the 2x kart, and it's speed-aholic driver, Brandon.

We'll be posting more pictures of our karts from the past, as well as some photos of the karts we are working on and plan to race this year. Thanks for taking the time to check out our racing kart pictures, and please come watch us at the track. Don't forget to check back soon for updates!
